Garbage bears and pine trash
I have a new bear friend visiting my house.
It's really enjoying the garbage. I try to avoid throwing out smelly items, but any food is tantalizing.
I certainly don't mind the visits, and look forward to checking my outdoor camera to see if it caught my ursine pal.
I would appreciate if it could resist the temptation to spread my trash all over the driveway. I don't enjoy cleaning that up. The bears in my area are urban bears, and are not shy about raiding garbage cans.
Currently, I'm experimenting with pine oil as a deterrent. I found a household cleaner with a high concentration of pine oil, and sprayed down the trash bags in the can.
